The deLaFarge mansion was the home of one of the French landowners in the Town of Orleans.

Stone Mills had a one room district school. All the scholars for this year are shown in this picture.

Names in brackets are the married names. Photo was taken by John Irwin, prominent Stone Mills merchant. The school eventually burned. It occupied the site of the current wood frame schoolhouse at the Agricultural Museum at Stone Mills
