April 24, 2006: OBA Promotes Businesses
The newly formed Orleans Business Association (OBA) announced one of many initiatives to promote local businesses. Riverside Media Group has been hired by the OBA to start the business group’s web site; the site will list all the towns businesses who responded to be included in the town’s business flier. The fliers will be distributed in over 50 other chambers and businesses throughout the region. The new web site will be found at: www.townoforleans.com

The OBA hopes to have the new web site completed with in the next 30 days.

April 25, 2006: OBA Continues Aggressive Development
The Orleans Business Association (OBA) recently adopted the group’s by-laws. This will keep the group focused on our mission and give us a sense of direction stated Jefrey Martusewicz, the groups current President.

Were excited also as we have adopted our own LOGO. This will give us our own symbol to help further promote our cause. Joe Jeffers with Extreme Graphics came up with our Logo. We are very fortunate that we really have a talented and ambitious group, stated Martusewicz.

The OBA meets once a month on the third Monday of the month at 7pm. This months meeting is May 15th and is being hosted by Steve Conaway and the Thousand Islands Winery.

January 19, 2006: Orleans Business Association-It’s Official
Orleans Business Association (OBA) is the official name of the newly formed business association. The association goals will be to promote business with in the Town of Orleans and surrounding communities.

“The newly formed OBA is committed to get everyone involved in the business community, and any one wanting to promote the local business community” stated Jefrey Martusewicz, board president

“The OBA is very excited and motivated to get to work on getting the Association up and running, we’re rolling up our sleeves and are going to get it done, with a lot of Business leaders ready to go to work.”

“In the month ahead the association will be working on getting our fundamentals up and running. Steve Conaway, from the T.I. Winery will be taking the lead to load the Towns Web Site of all the local Businesses contact information, and up coming activities.”

“Patty Drake with RPD Stitcheries and Joey Jeffers with Extreme graphics have agreed to form an OBA logo.”

“Donna Chatterton, Town of Orleans, has agreed to update our OBA flier, to insure every one that has responded to our request to be added to our flier has. Anyone who may not think they have been included please contact Donna at the Town (658-4411). We don’t want anyone left out. The flier will be distributed through out the surrounding area, and this is a great opportunity to get your business noticed.”

The Orleans Business Association (OBA) will be offering a free Web Site or E-mail link on the Town web site to any business that attends one of our meetings. Meetings are held the 3rd Monday of the month at various businesses. Sue Whitney, LAFargeville School will be opening the school doors for our next meeting 7 pm, February 20th. Everyone is encouraged to attend who would like to see our association succeed and would like to be involved” stated Martusewicz.
